Nose is 'vanilla lemon cake', the palate is a balance of caramel, vanilla, spices and citrus. I'm not sure if they made the opulent bottle to match the Whiskey or vice versa.

The 16th release in the Woodford Reserve Master's Collection series, which has now taken on a new bottle shape and - in this case - the "Very Fine Rare Bourbon" label. This pays homage to Master Distiller Chris Morris and Assistant Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall and includes 17-year-old whiskey laid down in 2003, Morris' first year in the job. The very old barrels were then batched with younger stock to create this release.
