Johnnie Walker King George V was created to celebrate the Royal Warrant given in 1934 to the Walker family to mark the exceptional qualities of their whiskies. The King George has more restraint and sophistication courtesy of the Port Ellen Distillery component that is powerful, slow and resonant. Glenfiddich's Malt Master Brian Kinsman travelled to Canada to meet a renowned winemaker in Niagara. There he learned how the grapes had to be picked by moonlight at -10ºC to produce the intensely sweet Icewine. Brian started experimenting with several French oak Icewine casks from the Canadian winery - only the rarer whiskies, those aged for 21 years, could cope with the extra Icewine intensity. The taste is a perfect combination of both pioneering liquids, the heightened candied sweets and oakiness of Glenfiddich are complemented by mouth-watering tropical fruit notes and a luscious sweetness from the unique Icewine cask finish.

In the quest to discover sustainable packaging, discarded coffee husks have been given a second lease of life to create this innovative presentation box which encases a unique whisky. Whisky maker Steven Bremner has taken inspiration from the Arabica coffee and developed a whisky aged in both European and American oak casks which delivers notes reminiscent of a divinely sweet yet strong espresso. This limited annual release series brings together innovative sustainable packaging techniques with natural materials at the end of their life to see them given new use and purpose. With a distinct coffee flavour, this whisky exudes notes of espresso, dark chocolate and sweet oak. These contrasting notes entwine, to create a brilliant umami-rich depth of taste that lingers in the long, enticing and spicy finish. Known as "the fresh Japanese whisky", Hakushu is an herbal and gently smoky single malt from Suntory's Mt. Kaikomagatake distillery. Thanks to a mountain microclimate of luxurious forests and water filtrated by rain and snow through ages-old granite rock, malt whiskies born here are blessed a rare softness and purity. Hakushu 12YO is the heart of the brand. Green with herbal notes, it is distilled in direct-fire pot stills, then aged in small white oak casks for 12 years or longer. The result is a sweet, velvety smokiness, with the scents of green leaves and fruits. Hakushu 12YO is an ideal choice for those who want to enjoy a whisky with roundness, complexity and hint of smokiness.

The third release in the Harmony Collection has been created in collaboration with Stella and Mary McCartney to celebrate the lush, fertile lands of Scotland that connect all those who have stood upon them for generations. This release embraces the re-use of natural materials in its packaging, discarded meadow cuttings have been given new life in this presentation box and bottle labels. The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team have taken inspiration from natural Scottish grasslands to create this distinctive expression, redolent of warm meadows and mature barley fields, with a rich, citrus scented finish, using a combination of both sherry seasoned oak and bourbon casks. On the nose you'll find rich orange and lemon, honeysuckle, vanilla, coconut and ripe barley fields. The taste is characterised by rich oak, lemon, melon, classic scone, almond and green tea.
