To make Benriach Twelve, Benriach spirit is three cask matured for at least twelve years in sherry casks, bourbon barrels and port casks. The whisky from each cask is then expertly married together to create a smooth, sherry-rich single malt, layered with baked fruit, maple honey and cocoa, perfectly balanced with a lingering sultana and spiced mocha finish.

A full, rich and spicy 12-year-old single malt whisky. Slightly dry on the finish with lots of sherry notes and a slight hint of minty herbal notes. An interesting whisky with an unusual sweet aftertaste.

Subtle notes of lemon and honey, bound together with the distinctive Bowmore smokiness.

A great malt which Jim Murray awarded 95 points in his Whisky Bible, this is excellent value for money. The flavours are simple, but flawless, a clean, crisp 15 year old from the Dalwhinnie distillery, also part of Diageo's Classic Malts range.

It is light and delicate while being full of flavour. It is certainly on the sweet side with notes of honey and star fruit. There is a brief note of cherry on the mid palate. The front and mid palate are quite clean while the finish has a bit of that sulphur taste. The finish is complemented by a light earthy spice, reminiscent of white pepper and allspice.
